Hello my lovelies and welcome to September. Wow where has the time gone.
Continuing my series here is another mani swap I did on instagram with the amazingly talented Tracie aka ig @mentalmoma or also know as my Nail Sis
Tracie chose to do my sunset/sunrise vines/flower nails.
Here is my original
And here is Tracies recreation
How amazing is that….she has recreated it perfectly with the colours and detail.
Below is Tracies original design inspired by a dress.
And below is my recreation.
Not completely happy with it but enjoyed myself creating this and I am deffinately will try this design again.
Below are all 4 designs together, originals on the left and recreations on the right.
Continuing on from my previous posts in this series here is the next installment of my #bestietwinnails from instagram.
I got together with the lovely Katy ig @thepolishedpeony and we decided to recreate this gorgeous design from ig @_gems09_
Below is Katy version and i think she did an amazing job recreating this design.
Here is my version below. I love gradients and animal print ( have i told you all that before lol )and am really happy with how this turned out.
Here we have a another post for a #maniswap it did with the talented Cheyenne ig @cdbnails143. She chose my Dream Catcher and Feather mani and i chose to recreate her Feathers and Paws mani so we ended up with a Native American theme.
Below is Cheyennes beautiful original
Here is my recreation. I found this so difficult to fit on my nails but am happy how it turned out. Deffinately not as good a Cheyenne though.
Below is my original that she chose to recreate.
Here is her recreation. I think she has done an amazing job.
Here they all are together ….originals on the left and recreations on the right
In response to a post I put up on instagram for Mani Swaps or Twin nails here is the first #bestietwinnails post
I got together with the lovely and amazingly talented Tracie ig @mentalmoma and we decided to do a Scaled Gradient inspired by @simplynailogical as we had both been wanting to try out this technique and design. We chose our own colours and used a single chevron guide.
Here is Tracies design
I absolutely adore the colours she chose for the gradient and so beautifully blended.
Here is mine
I chose to use holographic polishes and love how they blended.
But Tracie being Tracie decided she wanted to add something to make them stand out and I’m so glad we did
As you can see we added some leopard print and i love how it turned out. Here are both pictures together
If you read my last post you will know i am doing some mani swaps and twin nails.
Today’s post is my #maniswap with ig @emmaelizabethxxx
Emma chose to recreate my peach and purple roses.
Below is my original mani.
And here is Emmas recreation.
I think she has done a brilliant job. The colours and detail are so accurate. She changed the placement slightly to fit better with her nail shape and i love it.
I chose to do Emmas rose mani and below is her original.
And here is my recreation of her mani
Here below are all 4 pictures together. On the left are the originals and on the right are the re reactions
I recently put a post on instagram asking for anyone who wanted to do mani swaps or twin nails with me. I was overwhelmed with the response.
So i will be doing some regular posts on how these turned out.
First is my #maniswap with ig @brendas_nail_art_adventures
Brenda decided to recreate a recent mani I had done of dream catchers and feathers. Below is my original.
Below is Brendas recreation.
She has done such an amazing job recreating my mani, even down to the colours.
I chose to recreate her tropical sunset and palm trees mani and below is her original
Here below is my recreation. I loved doing this as my two fav types of nail art are gradients with black acrylic detailing
Here are all 4 pics together. The originals on the left and recreations on the right.
Oopppsss sorry I am abit late posting this but had quite a few things going on…..
Right well the very last day of the #nailartchallengemarch on Instagram was Chevron …..not something I had done before so gave me a great excuse to have a go….
Started with a base colour of Foxy Paws Polish in I See The Light from her Disney Themed Collection and used acrylic paint for the free hand chevron and added a couple of purple gem stones …..I wasn’t overly happy with how it ended up but I know i need more practice in this design …..
As you can see my free hand chevrons are far from perfect and uneven ….
Well this is the March challenge completed. I am participating in another challenge for April and also one for Autism so going to be very busy nail art wise so keep an eye out for my posts. ..
Bye for now
